Elana is very excited to be joining us as Rosh Rikud (Dance) this summer! Originally from Northbrook, Illinois, this is Elana's third year on staff and third year working in the Rikud program. She also spent two years as a camper and attended Ramah Seminar in Israel.
After spending a gap year in Israel on Nativ, Elana is now a sophomore at the University of Maryland ("Go Terps!") where she is double majoring in Math and Secondary Education.
Elana is most looking forward to seeing how creative campers can be in the dance program. She is also very excited for Saturday night seudat shlishit singing, where "everyone simply comes together in one strong feeling."
Since Elana is planning to be a high school math teacher, she would like to leave you with a math pun:
What's the circumference of a jack-o-lantern divided by its diameter?
Pumpkin Pi!
