These are the joyous sights and sounds of summer at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. It’s what happens when you mix a phenomenal staff and a magnificent setting with hundreds of kids emboldened to live their best lives. For 75 years and counting, we’ve done exactly that, helping countless campers make connections—to each other, to nature, and to their Jewish identities—that last a lifetime. Because nothing makes us happier than making Camp Ramah every camper’s happy place.

The bunk
and beyond.
There’s nothing quite like the intense bonding that happens among bunkmates. They eat together. They play together. They laugh together. In the process, they gain valuable life lessons. And invaluable friendships.
Beyond their cabins, our campers interact with kids of all ages during specialty activities and camp-wide events like Yom Sport. These occasions offer an opportunity for younger campers to learn from older campers, for older campers to demonstrate their leadership and for everyone to deepen their connection to the broader Camp Ramah community.

When it comes to our expertise in and connection to Jewish values, we go deep. Ramah is known for its immersive Jewish environment and for having the best-trained staff for nurturing and celebrating Jewish identity. From our magical lakeside Shabbat services to the Hebrew songs of the Zimriyah song fest -celebrate we do, all summer long.

Some of our campers are sports fanatics. Some are born for the stage. Some are crafts crazy. Some live for the water, while others like to dabble in a little bit of everything. It’s why we’ve designed our activities programming for both breadth and depth. So campers can sample a wide variety, and then, if they choose, they can dive deep into ones they’re most passionate about. The most important thing is that they have fun along the way. And with so many great activities to pick from each day, it’s pretty hard not to.

Counselors. Coaches. Teachers. Big brothers. Big sisters. Role models. Three-legged race partners. Our staff wears many hats. Most are former campers. Some come from Israel. All are highly trained and deeply committed to helping our campers get the absolute most out of their time with us. And when it comes to kindness, fairness and not least, fun, they lead by example. Because when it comes to hiring staff, we aim for nothing less than the best.
