by Golda Kaplan, Rosh Shoafim Last Thursday, the Shoafim (8th graders) performed their Hebrew musical, Mary Poppins, for the entire camp. As the first musical of the summer, the campers and staff were excited to kick off the play season and show the camp that they are loudest and smiliest aidah! From the beginning of the summer we had daily play practice. We learned how to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in Hebrew and danced like chimney sweeps as we sang along to Chim Chiminey. Where else besides Camp Ramah do you get to put on a Broadway musical all in Hebrew?  It was amazing to watch the aidah come together – each camper contributing his or her talents – to put on an impressive show.
