Halutzim is the second 4-week summer at Camp Ramah, with campers who will be entering 6th grade in the fall. Many of the Halutzim campers attended camp for Garinim last year, so they have some idea of what goes on at camp, but many of them are new to camp, so Halutzim is still a summer of exploration.
Heidi Zimmerman (Rosh Halutzim): I love working with Halutzim, especially now that many of them have already been here for one summer. They can really start to understand what camp is all about and how to really have a great summer.
Batya (Halutzim): I like being in Halutzim for the same reason I like going to Ramah—all my friends are here that I don’t get to see during the year, and there are tons of activities that I don’t get to do back home.
Ellen (Halutzim): I like being in Halutzim because you get to hang out with your friends all day and there are so many fun activities. This is just a really fun place to be.
Liat (Halutzim): I like being in Halutzim because I like being with all my old friends and making new friends and I think it’s really fun just hanging out with them.
Rebecca (Halutzim): I like being in Halutzim because you get to hang out with all your friends and make new ones. Plus, you can do plays and lots of different activities that you don’t get to do at home.
