Rosh Rishonim (day camp program for staff children) Sarah Livingston is joining us for her first summer at camp. When she was younger, her cousins attended Ramah, and she is excited that now she gets to be a Ramahnik too!

Sarah is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a degree in history with a minor in Jewish studies. During her time there, her college adviser was Professor Robin Judd, a Ramah parent and one of Ramah’s scholars-in-residence. Sarah has been living in Ohio for the past eight years, though she is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. In the fall, Sarah heads to the University of Toronto to start a Masters program in Jewish history.

Sarah has spent the last two summers in Israel, but says that Ramah is the next best thing. She is looking forward to experiencing “the sense of community that is built with the common thread of Judaism bringing everyone together.”

Sarah has been a teacher and a nanny and is very excited to be working with the Rishonim children this summer. She says, “The opportunity to be a part of Ramah, to work with the little kids, and to spend the summer doing and being Jewish is an absolute dream come true.”
