Transportation

The Ramah experience truly begins with the trip to camp! Our enthusiastic staff are there to help your camper have a safe and comfortable journey. Located approximately 6 hours by car from the Chicago area and 5 hours from the Twin Cities, it’s a beautiful trip as you leave the cities and find your way into the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Transportation options

We have several ways to travel to and from camp:

Car

You are welcome to drop your child off at camp on the first day of the session and/or pick them up on the last day.

Coach Bus

Campers can board our chartered buses at locations in the Chicago suburbs, the Twin Cities, and Madison (Wisconsin). Counselors meet the campers at the bus stops and accompany campers on the buses.

Flight & Bus

Approximately 25% of our campers come from outside the Chicago and Twin Cities areas, so we are happy to offer bus service to and from Midway Airport in Chicago. Staff members meet all campers at the gates and accompany them throughout the airport. We’ll send out a list of preferred flights in the spring to help keep campers together on the flights.

Rhinelander Airport

The closest airport to camp is Rhinelander Airport (RHI), which is about an hour drive from camp. Delta Airlines has several daily flights to Rhinelander, with connections through Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. Our camp drivers are able to pick up and drop off campers at Rhinelander Airport during business hours.
