Yaela Garr is excited to be returning to camp this summer as Rosh Outdoor Education for her eighth summer on staff. She's had a variety of different positions in her eight years, including counselor, Rosh Machnaut (camping), and Rosh Ropes. She also spent a summer as Rosh Kevutza on Ramah Seminar in Israel. Yaela also spent five summers as a camper, and 11 summers in Rishonim (you might know her parents, Rabbi Ronnie and Minda Garr).
Yaela is from Jerusalem, Israel and is a graduate of David Yellin College of Education where she studied informal education and math. Her favorite thing about camp is seeing "the incredible amount of stars on a clear night." She's looking forward to new additions to the outdoor education program this summer, as well as her Nivonim 1999 reunion (for more information on this summer's reunions, click here).
