One of the novelties of camp is weekly kikar dancing on Friday afternoon before lunch. Every Friday, tzevet rikud (dance staff) brings the big speakers out onto the kikar (the large grassy gathering area in the middle of camp), blasts Israeli folk and popular music, and leads the dance moves so anyone can catch on and join in. Once the music starts, hundreds of staff members and campers of all ages run to the kikar to participate. It’s always lots of fun!
