The Northwoods Ramah Theatre Company (NRTC) is Camp Ramah in Wisconsin’s resident professional theatre troupe which has joined us in camp for a two-week residency since 2005. This year's company will be premiering a new play by up-and-coming playwright Lauren Feldman about the interaction between John Milton and his daughters surrounding the writing of Paradise Lost. The play explores classical Jewish themes including the Eden narrative and how to tell stories about the Divine in human language.
This summer, the NRTC will also be working closely with two company members from the Tony-Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago who will join us in camp for a two-day workshop.
Back by popular demand is the NRTC theater-making workshop for campers.
The NRTC is led by its founding director, Annie Levy, a former Spielberg Fellow and current adjunct professor of Theatre at Pace University. The company consists of three professional actors including Ramah alumnus Jon Adam Ross (JAR) and Franny Silverman, both former Spielberg Fellows and founding company members. We will also be joined this summer by Geoff Rice, a Chicago based actor who was first with the company in 2008.
