Whether it’s a singing in the dining room, shirah on the kikar, or the orchestra accompanying a camp play – music is all around camp!
Returning for a second summer as Rosh Music is Emily Malamud, a junior in music education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This will be her fourth summer as a staff member at camp. She is very excited to come back and continue working with both campers and staff on fun and innovative musical projects. Emily is from Northbrook, Illinois and will be returning to the area to student teach next January. She plays an assortment of instruments and looks forward to working as a band director in the near future.
In addition to music, she also loves to scuba dive and travel. In fact, before coming to camp this summer, she will be spending a month in New Zealand hiking, kayaking, and swimming with dolphins!
Emily can’t wait for another awesome summer at camp!
