A native of Minneapolis, Shai spent three summers as a Ramah camper and this will be his third summer on staff. He has worked as a Ramah counselor as well as a sports staff member. Shai is a student at the University of Minnesota where he studies business.
Shai’s favorite sports are baseball and basketball. He played basketball in high school. As a college student he has coached the 8th grade basketball team at the Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School for the past two years. Shai also served as an assistant coach at Tamir Goodman’s Coolanu Israel Basketball Camp in Chicago. In the Coolanu Israel program, he was part of an initiative to infuse Jewish values along with teaching basketball skills.
At camp this summer, Shai hopes to build on past successes in the sports program and expand the strength training and conditioning initiatives currently offered.
