Join us in welcoming Or Berger to Ramah Wisconsin as this year’s Rosh Radio! Or is originally from Kfar Aharon, Israel. Though he says that even he would have a hard time finding his hometown on a map, he’s “proud to be Israeli, born and raised.”
Or comes to us with a lot of radio experience. He went to Makif A High School in Be’er Sheva and majored in radio. He then went on to work in a regional radio station, first as a broadcaster and technician, and now as head copywriter. He loves his job, which includes writing jokes and making silly voices into microphones. As he says, “Doesn’t get much more fun than that!”
Or found Ramah because he was looking to do something that would be meaningful. He is so excited about meeting everyone at camp and having an amazing time this summer. He will be bringing lots of great energy to the Ramah tzevet (staff) and has given himself the unofficial responsibility of being in charge of morale around camp. He’s also a trained Krav Maga instructor, so watch out!
Or wants to make sure everyone is ready for the best summer ever and he has a lot of exciting plans for our radio station, WRMH. He says, “Together we will embark on a journey into an amazing world, which will probably be new for most of you… The world of radio and improvisation.”
