You might remember Gal Atia from the sports fields at Camp Ramah. Four of the last five summers Gal has worked on sports staff (he was Rosh Sport for two years). He also spent one summer working with Ramah Seminar in Israel. This summer he’s trying out a new role–Rosh Mishlachat.

Mishlachat is the word for our delegation of Israeli staff. This summer we have 19 new and veteran Israelis joining us through a partnership with the Jewish Agency. They come from all over Israel to join the Ramah staff as Hebrew teachers, specialty counselors and more.

Gal currently lives in Ramat Gan, Israel, and studies special education at Levinsky College. Camp Ramah is a special place for Gal because it’s where he met his wife Adi!

Gal loves playing basketball with friends at camp and he is looking forward to his new role this year. He’s planning some new and exciting Israel programs and can’t wait to share them with the campers.
