Tuesday, Day 3 of the Machon Trip was another huge hit! We spent the morning at Discovery World in Milwaukee, a science and industry museum/aquarium. We pet small sharks, jammed on the Les Paul exhibit, played some tunes on some PVC Pipes, took a 3D tour of the Solar System, and laid down on a bed of nails. Then, we headed over to Camp Randall at the University of Madison for much needed shower time. We were welcomed with open arms by Beth Israel in Madison, and spent time relaxing in the sun and playing cards. After a delicious dinner of mac and cheese and fresh salad with fresh vegetables, we took a ride over to the “Duck Pond” to cheer on the Madison Mallards baseball team against the Mankato Moondogs! We ended up losing the game, but we had a great time, cheered hard, and came away with some fantastic mallard hats. At the end of the game, we were lucky enough to see them shoot a man out of a cannon all the way across the field. It was incredible.
The campers are on their way back to camp now, so we’ll update you about their last day when we hear from them!
