Seventeen families came together last week for five fun-filled days of Ramah Wisconsin Family Camp led by Family Camp Director Robin Rubenstein and our fabulous Ramah Wisconsin staff! Aidah Prachim (ages 4-7) spent their mornings doing sports, swimming and boating, art, shira and rikud. Aidah Shemesh (ages 8-10) did much of the same and had the opportunity to spend time at the high ropes course!
In addition to several learning opportunities with educator Tamar Cytryn, parents had plenty of time to enjoy all that camp has to offer – including music, art, kayaking, sports and braving our high ropes course! Both kids and adults made new friends. Parents loved the opportunity to relax, schmooze and have fun. They were treated to a special lecture by alumna Chaviva Jacobson, a renowned swim instructor and an expert on artist Marc Chagall. Chaviva developed a special rapport with both kids and adults and was a wonderful addition to the program.
Every afternoon families came together to swim, boat and play! Many of the parents felt that this was some of the best quality time they have ever spent with their kids. This was a wonderful taste of camp for young children and their parents – and a meaningful Ramah experience for all involved!
