The last 10 days of camp are jam-packed with tons of fun activities! Be sure to ask your campers about these events in your upcoming letters and bunknotes, and watch for photos from many of the events on Bunk1.

This week is Shavua Sababa for Bogrim (entering 9th grade), so make sure to ask your Bogrimer what activity he or she is focusing on this week. Six amazing professionals are leading intensive clinics in paper cutting, baking, video performance, sound recording, outdoor skills and improv! The Bogrimers also have their “Synchronized Swimming" aqua routine show this week.

We’ve got lots of sports games coming up. Shoafim (entering 8th grade) and Bogrim girls play softball and basketball, Bogrim and Machon (entering 10th grade) girls and Shoafim and Bogrim boys play basketball, and Solelim (entering 7th grade) and Halutzim (entering 6th grade) boys play softball. We know there will be lots of ruach (spirit) out on the sports fields!

We’ve also got a Polar Bear Swim coming up this week. Campers and staff who choose to participate will head to the waterfront at dawn for a sunrise swim to the island. It’s a spectacular (and chilly) way to see a beautiful sunrise!

The Nivonim (entering 11th grade) boys will be heading out on their 3-day camping trip to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula next week. We know they’ll come back with great stories.

Next Thursday is the Rikudiyah, our end of summer dance festival. Campers from each aidah have been busy learning and perfecting their dance moves for the night of fun performances.

Speaking of performances, campers focusing on instrumental music will give a series of recitals. Some campers who have musical experience have honed their skills during the summer; others have just started learning how to play an instrument.  We can’t wait to hear how they’ve progressed!

Last but not least, there are two more Hebrew musicals coming up!  Tonight the Nivonim will present Cabaret, and next Tuesday is the Machon and Tikvah play West Side Story. They’ve been hard at work all summer and we can’t wait to see their shows.

There’s so much going on and we can’t wait to share it with you!
