Micol Bayer designed her first monogram for a friend’s wedding invitation about seventeen years ago. From that moment, she loved the way that she could play with the form of Hebrew letters to create a beautiful image. As much as she enjoys the fluid form of the Hebrew alphabet, she became fascinated with  the challenging medium of papercutting.   With a degree in Judaic Studies and a minor in Art, she has found a balance in creating meaningful works of art deeply imbued with Jewish meaning.  Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, she currently lives in Cleveland, Ohio where she works from a home studio as well as teach art.
