Last week we had a special opportunity to celebrate our amazing 13- and 14-year old campers! Because so many of them had their Bar or Bat Mitzvah moved online or otherwise impacted by the pandemic, our staff planned a series of events to honor this milestone event in their lives.

On Wednesday, our two eidot spent time together in a B’nai Mitzvah-themed day and after dinner we had a ton of fun at an awesome B’nai Mitzvah party.

On Thursday morning we were excited to honor our campers with an aliyah during tefilot. We are so proud of them all for their resiliency and flexibility, and were thrilled to watch them get called up to the Torah together. There was singing, dancing, and even some early-morning candy. We are so happy that we were able to celebrate this milestone at camp and help our campers mark their transition into Jewish adulthood.
