On Sunday we welcomed 71 entering 4th graders to the action-packed, five-day Ruach Ramah program!  Campers are enjoying their first taste of the Ramah overnight experience and from the smiles on their faces, they are having a blast! Their days are filled with activity:  musical tefillot (prayers) with rabbinical student/musician Josh Warshawsky, community building games, plus sports like floor hockey, gaga and dodgeball.  They got a kick out of our camp version of Iron Chef, in which they used candies, granola bars, and chips to make creative Jewish holiday treats.

They played camp games like “Radio Schlep,” in which the announcer names an item and then campers (who are listening to the camp radio station in their cabins) race to the radio station with the item.  They enjoyed outdoor fun like the low ropes course, swimming in the lake and climbing on the new aqua obstacle course.

Campers did rotations through omanut (art), shira (singing), rikud (dance) and drama. They even tried out their Hebrew skills with fun games. With one more day to go, there is still a lot of fun in store!  It’s always a treat to see our youngest campers make new friends and experience a taste of the vibrant Camp Ramah in Wisconsin community.
