Introducing our new Rosh Omanut Sarah Raff! Camp Experience: This is my first summer at Ramah Wisconsin – but not my first summer at Ramah! I was a madricha (counselor) and tzevet omanut (art staff) in the past at Ramah in the Poconos.
Years as a camper: I grew up at Ramah in the Poconos as a staff kid for 3 years and a camper for 6 summers. This is going to be my 15th summer at a Ramah camp!
Favorite thing about camp: Other than Omanut, I love Rikud (dance)! I also love hanging out on a sunny Shabbat.
Most looking forward to: I’m so excited to get to experience a new Ramah culture and bring some of the east coast to Wisconsin 🙂
Life outside camp: I graduated in 2015 with a a degree in psychology from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. I also was on Nativ 31 and spent an amazing year in Israel.
Hometown: I am originally from South Jersey near Philadelphia. I’ve lived in Chicago for the past 2 years and I am moving to Washington DC after camp.
Fun fact: I love visiting new places but I’ve never been west of the Mississippi River.
