Hey Kochavim 2017! My name is Adam Schrag and I can’t wait to be your Rosh Aidah this summer! From the moment you hop off the buses and meet your excited counselors, your action-packed Kochavim summer will give you a taste of all of the awesome opportunities Camp Ramah in Wisconsin has to offer. Get ready to jump around on the blob in the agam (lake), get creative in omanut (art), dance to Israeli music on the Kikar, make s’mores around the campfire, shoot hoops on the basketball courts and so much more. More importantly, you’ll enjoy all of these activities with your new friends!
I’m super excited to meet all of you and enjoy our daily activities together! This will be my 12th summer at camp and my sixth on staff. I was born in Jerusalem and grew up in the Chicago area with my parents and two brothers. I worked as a travel writer in Tel Aviv last fall before graduating from Knox College in the spring with a degree in Creative Writing. I backpacked around France, Spain and Portugal with friends this past fall and currently work as a medical writer in downtown Chicago. I like hiking, reading and playing Frisbee and I’m looking forward to doing all three and more with you when we’re up at camp!
