Welcome back to Rosh Drama Elana Kennedy! Years at camp: This will be my 12th summer with Ramah – after six summers as a chanicha (camper), a summer on Seminar, and two summers on Tzevet Drama (drama staff), I’m thrilled to return for my third year as Rosh Drama!

Favorite thing about camp: Kikar Dancing has always been one of my favorite parts of camp. After a long, exciting week, it’s the perfect way to catch up with friends from all across camp and do some of our favorite dances. And it’s great exercise, too!

Most looking forward to: I’m so excited to see Bogrim (entering 9th graders) put on Matilda this summer! Bringing a new show to camp is always exciting, but Matilda is one of my favorites so I can’t wait to see it come to life in the Beit Am for the first time.

Life outside camp: I’m graduating this spring from Brandeis University, where I studied Music with a concentration in Musical Theatre Performance, and Minored in Theatre Arts.

Hometown: I’m originally from Skokie, Illinois, and have spent the past four years living in Boston. After camp, I’ll be heading down to Orlando to spend a few months making magic as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World on the Disney College Program, before heading home to pound the pavement of Chicago’s vibrant theatre community.

Something exciting happening in drama this summer: I’m looking forward to creating some fun new opportunities for our chanichim to learn and grow through drama, and to shine and perform for their peers this summer.
