Hi Tikvah 2016,
My name is Benjy Forester and I will be your Rosh Aidah this summer at Camp Ramah! Some of you might know me from other summers at Camp Ramah. This will be my fifth summer working on staff after spending six summers as a camper.
I am originally from Deerfield, IL, and I am currently finishing up my senior year at Washington University in St. Louis, where I study Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP Program). I have been very involved in the Jewish community at my school and in St. Louis, and I even see some of our friends from Tikvah at the synagogue where I teach Hebrew school! I enjoy playing sports, especially bowling and basketball. I can’t wait to learn about your lives and see what your different interests and talents are!
I am very excited for our summer together, filled with lots of our favorite camp activities and many opportunities for new memories and new friendships. We will show camp how creative and talented we are when we perform the Tikvah Arts Festival. We will join our friends from Machon in singing at the Zimriyah (song festival), dancing at the Rikudiyah (dance festival) and performing our Hebrew musical, which will be The Wiz! We will also be moving into our beautiful new Moadon Tikvah, our very own space to learn and grow together. I cannot wait to see you all in beautiful Conover, Wisconsin in just a few weeks!
See you soon! Benjy Forester
P.S. Hey Tikvah 2016! My name is Maya Zinkow and I’m Rosh Machon this summer. I know many of you from the past two summers spent in Chadar Ochel Bet, and I’m excited to get to know you better, and to meet those of you who are joining us at camp for the first time! There will be so many opportunities over the course of this summer for Machon and Tikvah to join together as a community, and I am looking forward to sharing those moments. I can’t wait to see you all soon!
