Steven Sacks is joining us for his third year on staff, and his second as Rosh Shira (singing). Before he was Rosh Shira, he was a Shira staff member. Steven was also a camper for three summers, Bogrim through Nivonim.
From Deerfield, Illinois, Steven just finished his freshman year at Indiana University in Bloomington. Before starting university, he went on the Kivunim Gap year program in Israel. He is also a graduate of Chicagoland Jewish High School.
Steven loves singing at camp and is looking forward to getting to know everyone who will be singing with him this summer. He is excited about introducing our campers and staff to lots of new Jewish music. In his free time, Steven enjoys playing six different instruments. He might even teach you how to play ukulele this summer…in less than an hour!
