My name is Lena Eskin, and I am so excited to be returning to camp this summer as Rosh Rikud! This will be my second summer heading the dance staff and my third on staff overall, in addition to being a camper for six summers. I am from Evanston, IL, and I am currently studying chemistry and taking pre-med courses at Cornell University.
One of the reasons that camp is so special is that everyone has the chance to participate in a wide range of activities in a comfortable, fun environment alongside friends. Because of this, one of my goals for the summer is to involve as many people as possible – whether or not they have ever danced before – in all the dance opportunities that camp has to offer. I can’t wait to see all the energy in the musicals and the Rikudiyah Dance Festival, and of course, to see the Kikar packed with dancers every single Friday afternoon for Kikar dancing.
Like everyone else, I’m counting down the days until we’re back at camp. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone bust out their best moves in the Moadon, in the Bet Am, and on the Kikar!
