Though our entering 6th graders don’t perform their own play, they do have a chance to showcase their talent in a “Cabaret” on the last night of camp. In front of the whole camp, the Halutzim will perform a preview of next summers’ aidah plays.
This week they’re busy learning the Hebrew words to the five songs they’ll be performing at “No Smoking,” the photo slide show on the last night of camp.
With songs like “Betoch Hayam,” or “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid, Halutzim campers give the camp a taste of our 2015 musical lineup. This year the Halutzim will sing songs from Peter Pan, A Chorus Line, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Hairspray. The Cabaret is their time to shine and they’ve already learned all the words to the songs. Now, they just need to ready their voices for all of camp to hear Sunday night!
