Meet Annie Glasser!
We're so excited to welcome Annie Glasser to the year round Ramah team as the Engagement and Marketing Coordinator!
Annie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Political Science and Certificate in Human Rights Studies. She is also an Alumna of Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim. Before joining Ramah in Wisconsin, Annie worked in Connecticut as the Youth Director at the Conservative Synagogue (that’s really what it’s called!) and in New York as a consultant for Religions for Peace, a United Nations forum enhancing understanding and collaboration among and between the world’s religious communities. Annie is now based in Chicago and when she’s not chatting with Ramahniks, you can find her skiing, travelling, or trying a new pizza place!
A little more about Annie, in her own words:
Hometown: I am from a very small town in Connecticut called Weston.
Camp Experience: I spent my summers at a basketball day camp (no, it didn’t pay off). My favorite thing about it is that they just opened a new Ramah sports camp in the same facility!
On her visit to Camp Ramah in Wisconsin this past summer: The highlight of my visit to camp was the Zimriyah! Your voices filled the Beit Am and your aidah and camp-wide pride were infectious!
What she's looking forward to: I’m most looking forward to getting to know all of you! I’m also excited to translate some of Ramah’s summer magic to year-round activities.
Favorite Ice Cream: Mint chocolate cookie
Favorite thing to do: Tough question! I love skiing, and eating, and travelling. So let’s say traveling to new ski towns where I can get first tracks and spend my afternoons enjoying apres ski!
Pets: I grew up with Labrador retrievers. Now you can just find me petting any dog that walks in my direction.
Fun fact: After college graduation I backpacked through 22 countries before returning to New York.
